Peter Kelly is the president of Putnam Hospital Center, a 164-bed, acute care hospital offering medical, surgical, psychiatric and 24/7 emergency services. It is part of the Health Quest, a Hudson Valley-based family of integrated hospitals and healthcare providers, delivering medical and surgical services and home care. Peter has been in that position since August, 2016.
Peter has more than 30 years of experience in healthcare, having served as a senior adviser for CarePoint Health system in Hudson County, N.J. and also as the president and CEO of Christ Hospital in Jersey City from 2005 till 2014. His extensive career in healthcare also includes serving as chief operating officer of Beth Israel Medical Center in Manhattan and chief executive officer for Continuum Health Partners Inc. Perer received his bachelor’s degree from St. Bonaventure University and a master’s in Healthcare Administration from Long Island University. He has a reputation for driving change and setting bold goals for top-level performance.
